Good choice! Let's give it up for Caring at Christmas

We're really glad you'd rather give up your Christmas gift to help those in greater need. It means this year, we can put the cash to greater use, supporting the fantastic work being done by the team behind Caring at Christmas, a local charity supporting the homeless in Bristol.

Give it up for Caring at Christmas

This remarkable charity runs a Christmas night shelter each year, to give a little bit of support to Bristol's homeless during the festive season. From 3pm on 24th December, right through to 10am on 1st January, it provides warm, safe accommodation, food and social activities to homeless and vulnerable people in Bristol.

Did you know?

Homelessness in Bristol is twice the national average.

Nationally, the number of rough sleepers on our streets has risen by 132% since 2010.

Six ways we can help Caring at Christmas

We've supported the homeless in Bristol for a number of years, through volunteering, fund raising and awareness. But this year we wanted to share the love and get you involved too. Instead of giving you a gift, our donation could be used to help:

  • Fund 15 beds during the festive season
  • Feed 300 people with a traditional Christmas lunch
  • Clean, freshly laundered clothes for shelter users
  • Buy over 200 wash kits
  • Provide 40 high quality waterproof jackets
  • Fund 100 hot breakfasts
